Grant Ennis and Alice Wiseman to speak live
Alcohol Review 2025 is pleased to announce its live speakers will be Grant Ennis, author of the acclaimed book Dark PR, and Alice Wiseman, alcohol and drug lead at the UK Association of Directors of Public Health.
The event will offer a uniquely accessible, solution-focussed forum for everyone involved in the profound challenge of tackling alcohol harm worldwide. It will bring breadth, depth and focus, showcasing key advances in efforts to reduce alcohol harm.
– Winning the narrative, [live session, 10-11am, UK time]: Grant Ennis, author of Dark PR and lecturer at Monash University, brings his deep global insight on health harming industries to a session on defeating commercial disinformation and delivering positive visions for healthier alcohol environments.
– Sharing the benefits [live session, 11-12am, UK time]: Alice Wiseman, the UK Association of Directors of Public Health alcohol and drugs lead, will bring hands-on public health perspective on how applying alcohol evidence can improve relationships with alcohol at the individual, family, community and societal levels.
– Discussion [live session, Q&As]: Delegates will have a chance to be heard in a live, moderated discussion of the two overarching themes of the event after each session. The themes of the live sessions will also be addressed by some of the event’s recorded Spotlight sessions.
